Generally it will be tested with the employees efficiency on quantity, quality, cost and time taken to complete the task. Performance appraisal helps the organization in many ways to give promotion, bonus, increment as a part of rewarding the employees and it helps from the business point of view by the way of identifying the training needs, allocation of resources and other decision making. There are many ways to assess the performance of the employee, some are; 360 degree appraisal, management by objectives, behavioral observation scale, etc.
